It's funny. I built that truck before forums (2004), so no, there is no build thread.

I have had that question asked so many times that I ought to start compiling my pics and start a thread for it.

No kidding eh. Any chance you can PM me some specs. I'm building a 68 series 2a here soon. I think I read something about Toyota drive train?

Yes, the motor is from a '91 Toyota pickup (22RE), the trans is a cast iron Toyota 5 speed (shorter than the aluminum trans) and it has a RF1A t-case with 5.0:1 gears. The axles and wheels are skinny 1985 Toyota and the diffs are TRD electric lockers.

The skinny tires work great in the rocks as the tire contact pressure is superb.
