Sleeping Platform / Storage / Kitchen Options

If you're looking to save some money over the overpriced "adventure" gear suppliers, look at some commercial truck suppliers like american van for drawers, and do the "platform" yourself. None of this stuff is 7500 dollar difficult, but some people aren't tool oriented, or have the time.

Personally, I've found a simple platform and an open space for boxes/bags is best for short term (2 week) use. Space is a premium and Drawers with kitchens and support systems cause a ton of dead space.

That Black sheep unit. The doors don't do 180 deg. on the truck. how the hell do you cook and reach the fridge while cooking? What is the point of that if you need to carry other surfaces to prep on? Do you cook? I like to cook, and that looks like a useless disaster for actually cooking, and you don't need a 7500 dollar system to heat up a can of soup. If I'm going to be cooking outside, give me a roof rack with a massive folding table stored under it so I have some space to get to work.

Although both set ups look nice I do have some questions as to height (mentioned above) if you are sleeping on the platform as well as access to the jack and aux power ports in the back of the Grenadier. Neither solution looks like they have taken that into account. I am considering building my own (mind probably exceeding my skill set but always good to dream) so seeing all of these are great but my design still in process.
