Slowest 80 Build Ever!!

I know that you have nothing but time on your hands right now, and that you are spending most of your time reading the Portal so why don't you go out snap some shots of your Engel slide? If you need help get that lazy brother-in-law of yours to walk across the street and give you a hand. Also, how much longer do we have to wait for you to get your bigger mods onto the rig? I think now would be as good a time as any. I mean, how mad could your wife get at you in your state?:smilies27

:ylsmoke: This has been a great thread. Your 80 makes me very envious. When you wire up your fridge post a pic or two if you don't mind, I am trying to "borrow" some ideas for a slick solar power fridge setup.

Love your rig. Makes me miss mine. I'll get out there to take some pics when the swelling goes down!

A few other things.
Just picked up the maggiolina airland from kayalove. I dig it, can't wait to mount it up.

Got the arb and the snorkel waiting for scotty to install at AT next week.

Thinking of having simon fab up a rear bumper for me. I really like his work.

just gotta come up with the cash for it.

OK, so I know that you have been out for a few days because of "appointments", there has been work, buying new scooters (do they make ExPo kits for that?), getting the Maggiolina, omitting the truth about a new bumper and snorkel from the wife for weeks... but, do you have those new mods on your rig yet (pictures), or is AT going to have to start charging you a storage on those?

Not totally me. Simon Got the sliders on for me. (See Pic)
Painted them up this weekend and then put in the metal tech spacers (no more stinkbug)--the pic without the sliders is on a slope the stinkbug is not too pronounced. I apologize for the phone pics but all I could get at this point.

So far done:
Sliders
Slide for the engel 45 quart
Spacers for front springs

To do: (immediate)
Get the ARB Front bumper I have sitting at Adventure Trailers installed
Get the snorkel installed
Wire the rear for power for the engel.
Find the fitment for a larger battery rather than running duals at this point (I think it would be cheaper in the long run)

Get out of town and onto the Dirt!!!! That's the biggest one.
Here's some pics and will post more soon.

Why did you get the spacers and not the heavy springs? They seem to be almost the same price!

Did you install or are planning on installing some lights on the Metal Tech Sliders?

Okay, #1--Seth, you are just mean!!!:sport_box But congrats anyway bro. Can't wait to have Kristi in the family.

To answer your questions:
1. They are on the rig! They look great. Drove them home, bought a vespa, and haven't driven her since. Weird, but I love the way the ARB and the Snorkel look. Now I just need 33's and she is about done. Gotta find a way to get some more cash for a rear bumper. Good thing Simon (the Exile) is busy with Mario's Comanche!

2. Told the wife. . .That was fun. She's a sport and I was punk to try and slide it past her. We are all good now.

3. I chose the spacers because of the stinkbug look. Straightened right up, but with the ARB it is a little stink again. I will probably look to swap out either some J's or some heavy's for the medium's . Stay posted. I thought the spacers worked well. But haven't wheeled with them, so cannot say i ran them through their paces.

4. Pics. tomorrow! Always tomorrow.

5. Just want to say thanks to Scotty (burl40) for getting my stuff put on. It's an awesome install and couldn't have been a better experience. Between Simon and Scotty my rig may just grow up to be all that it can be.

6. I think the 40 has to go. . . Just got accepted into a doctoral program and somethings are going to have to change:(

That's about it.

Whoops, sorry euro, missed the second question. I went with the spacers because I thought the ARB was a long way off. Got an unexpected job and was able to purchase.

Hadn't thought about lights yet. I need to wire up a few different things on the 80 and I'm not too good. I'm sure I'll get good advice here though.

Thanks for the idea!

I just had to rib you a bit. You know that I love you, man. I'm glad to hear that everything is on. I can't wait to see it. Better yet, let's get out and wheel our rigs together a bit real soon. Once you get those new springs you know I'm good for helping you put those on. The lights on the sliders sound cool too.

By the way, the word is official from the Board of Ed. that I am hired for Redlands. I have to buy that projector and computer within the next week and a half.

Another question, when you installed your spacers did you upgraded the shocks to the Lt-shocks?
