How low can I go? I'm kind of interested in going with a smaller diameter wheel and bigger tire combo. Is this no go due to brake, etc. rubbing issues etc?

Specs of a few wheels I'm shopping -
17x8
+30 to +38 offsets
(correct centerbore size)
Tires I'll probably go with 265 65 R17.

Found a set, but the center bore is listed as 72.56 mm, and LR3's are 72.6 mm. Close enough? Surely I can squeeze them on...

Nice. Those look kind of like the wheels I wanted for my WRX.
For future reference, you can run 17's on V8 brakes, but you have to use a spacer and there's very little clearance. There is a member on here who's done it, I believe with no issues at all. But YMMV.
