Good to know. How are they attached to the bottom of the tent? I figure I’ll contact ovs to see if they can sell me more of these rails.

I just purchased some screws that matched the supplied ones. In reality I don't think you need more. The factory ones in the original rails should be enough. The extra rails are primarily there to support and keep the RTT from warping. Along with the extra rails I got extra U brackets to hold the rails to the cross beams.

It took about a hour to do it. Just physically flipped the door held it where it needed to be and used the hinges for a template to drill holes. Only other thing you have to do is grind/cut off the stop on the now bottom latch making it where it will pivot 180 degrees instead of 90. I'll post a picture of how I modified it later today.
We finally got around to flipping the door, and ran into the issue you mentioned about the bottom latch. We'd appreciate it if you would post the pic you mentioned in your post.

Installed the ovs Nordic 4 tent as well the 270 awning. Really blown away by the awning it’s so quick to setup and put away and the quality is excellent. I’ve gotta redo the awning mount it doesn’t look that great to me.

Went out for a couple of days of camping, good times. Unfortunately I left the hand brake on coming back, I need new brake pads.... does anyone know the brake pads part number?

I drilled my mount to be able to bolt the two together.

I am still about a month and half to two months out on the water tank system. I have the tank design finalized and mounting brackets near completion. I decided to change the tank we were using from our original system for additional capacity. Cost is still TBD once fabrication costs are factored in for the tank brackets. I will keep this thread updated.

Ryan,

Did you ever finalize your water tank system? Haven't seen anything on your website.

Look back on page 169 and you can see how I made a mount using 1 1/4 tubing. It tucks it in closer to trailer and doesn't rattle

For the group. Has anyone gone through the DMV registration process in California? Not that I can do it right now as most offices are closed and appointments have been stopped. But, I am curious as to what the DMV is requiring? Statement of Construction? Simple Application for Title or Registration? Inspection?

The trailer came with a VIN number so I should be good there. One weird thing about the VIN though, it is one number longer than field on the DMV forms. Hmmm...

Thanks for that! (For future readers: here's the link Apr 5, 2020). That looks like a much better option. I'm not able to weld but I can certainly find someone to do it for me. Does this spacing leave enough room for the rtt?
