Just want to make sure the sink fits with the propane bottle.
We'll be messing up the bed most of the time anyway so it shouldn't be a problem. I just would feel better knowing I had the room even if I didn't need it all the time.
I agree with you. I have the undermattress storage and use it quite a bit. I've been out on trips 45 days so the extra storage comes in very useful. This summer I plan on a Alaska trip so I need the storage. I also have the extra long tongue so I can have storage up front for extra water, gas, etc. I have the water heater with shower and the swing out on back with the sink and cutting board attached to that. When it swings out I have a really nice cooking area. Love my setup.
I have been vasilating between having the swingout back or not. I don't have a spare tire to mount on it but having the cutting table and sink is really cool with maybe a trash container (trasharoo). We are out for long periods too with out JJ and always need the space.
You don't happen to have a pic with your kitchen setup do you? Also, are you the one who needs to stand on a step to reach the stove?
Is the extended tongue option a necessity when using a tongue box and the cage behind it? I cant find any pics of a comparison of the regular tongue and extended tongue options.
I am looking to get the trailer the nimble as possible but also want to get the most storage as possible.
Lastly, Does the extended tongue option and extra water jugs and dual battery set up in tongue box cause issues with the overall tongue weight of the trailer?. It looks like there is just so much space between the hitch and trailer axle.
I was under the impression that was the only way to get the locking basket and front storage box to fit. The basket will hold my chairs, inflatable kayaks, spare fuel and etc. The pneumatic jack is on my list too along with three leveling jacks.I think it may depend on which trailer you get. I have the 510XS and I didn't order the extended tongue and have the battery box and cage behind it. I don't have dual batteries, but I have dual rotopax (8 gallons) and it doesn't appear there is to much tongue weight. Make sure you get a pneumatic tongue tire, it makes a huge difference moving the trailer around.
I always felt roof baskets/trays make things top heavy. I will be getting the rack for my roadshower and solar panel(s).I've got a Tacoma so some of the stuff I took on a recent trip went into my bed. The rest went in my front cage and it wasn't a whole lot. I had a Honda generator and some wood to leveling the trailer. I have a roof rack too that I have still haven't used yet but if I need to have the rack for more storage.
Just sent in accredit app for one of these. Then decided I didn't want to make payments on one. Pretty much debt free right now. Would love to own one, but man, its a pretty expensive endeavor for me to think about. I'm just not sure Id get enough enjoyment out of it. SCal would be the one for me though.
