This is a very rare, very unusual, very cool RV conversion based on a step side van.

Converted to a hotrod RV, this 73 Grumman Olson Kurbmaster has an all aluminum body on an International 1510 chassis.

Interior includes:
Overhead A/C in cockpit,
enclosed head (toilet),
clothes closet,
a small couch,
fridge,
large countertop with sink / running water,
enclosed bedroom with queen sized bed, a/c unit, and ample storage underneath the bed.

12v DC power.
120v AC inverter.
Xantrax True Charge 2 battery charger.
Large capacity golfcart house batteries.
Ample storage throughout.
Full length rack with deck up top for storage.
Maxon lift gate at the rear.
Corbeau racing buckets seats for driver and passenger.

Three layers of insulation, Polyisocyanurate (polyiso), a closed-cell rigid foam board insulation, carpet as a conductive barrier, and reflective bubble wrap.

The exterior is 6' 8" wide, 24' long, 10' tall with deck unloaded. 6' height interior. Originally shipped with roll-up doors that have been converted to hinged ambulance doors to save interior space. Body is 1/8" aluminum sheet.

Powered by an International Harvester 345 V8 gasoline, with dual wheel rear axle, 17x7.50 tires with less than 10,000 miles on original split rims.

Power steering. Power brakes.

20 gallon tank giving 140 mile range between refills. Room to mount an additional underbody 20 gallon fuel tank. There's a custom rear bracket on the rear door to hold two Blitz 5 gallon gas cans.

New Holley carburetor, new starter, coil, and distributor, all less than 1000 miles.

Runs very smooth, but likes to be started regularly. Shifts great, clutch is great, power steering is smooth. Suspension solid.

New Front tires, less than 100 miles on them.

It has been to the Black Rock desert/playa, driving from the Bay Area, over the Sierras with no problems.

Includes useful factory/dealer service manuals and parts books for the 1510 chassis, including cross reference parts book, the motor home chassis guide, original Kurbmaster sales brochure.

It has a hydraulic Maxon lift gate that is very handy as a platform for a ladder to the deck, or when loading. Can fit a motorcycle in rear.

Over $11000 invested. Make a reasonable offer.

Trade for Luxury SUV or Pick-up Truck.

Located in San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA

More about this 1973 Olson Kurbmaster:

This truck was offered in International's "light line" which is one notch below their Big Rigs. This model has 1510 chassism, which were also used for full size mobile homes, dump trucks, tow trucks, snow plows, delivery trucks, maintenance trucks. It's the equivalent of a deuce and a half.

Olson bought the chassis's and mounted their aluminum Kurbmaster bodies on them. All body parts, hinges, door handles, trim, are still available and cheap. Engine and drivetrain parts are not as common but can be found. The engine is the same an International Scout.

Originally this was a bakery delivery truck for a school district outside Riverside, CA.The truck was purchased at auction, painted black with blue flames to look "cool" then let sit. It was then acquired it mid 2000s and converted it into an RV for Burningman. The most recent owners began refinishing the interior with additional insulation in the form of Thermasheath Rmax Thermasheath-3 Iso foam boards, 2" on the walls and 1" in the ceiling and then covered with wood finish.
