Well I have been buying G Wagens and then realizing that I should be focusing on college instead of cars, but I bought a 1982 300GD 5 door that has hardly any rust on it, it's a diesel and is white in color.
1982 Mercedes Geländewagen 300GD
98,000 miles
460 Series
right hand drive
5 door, long wheelbase
4 speed manual transmission
seller is owner since 1999
Purchased in England in 1999
Imported to USA in 2006
passed customs and EPA
registered in Texas
body was stripped and repainted white in USA
rear door, rear body panels, fuel tank, rear axle replaced in USA with Genuine Mercedes Benz parts.
transfercase replaced, Alternator, Starter are new
Diesel Injector pump was rebuilt
rear seat missing but can be bought for $450 (http://gwagenpreserve.com/index.php?opt ... 5&Itemid=8)
Allow me to explain what is actually wrong with the vehicle. It does need some slight loving.
It really could use new tires (not more than $450.00)
windshield is cracked ($250.00 from the Mercedes Benz dealer)
Needs a turn signal up front ($30.00 for two brand new ones)
- the transmission needs new shifter bushings (have the parts, but it's been too cold to put them in)
It's a really nice G Wagen and I do love it. I am planning to fix everything up anyway so I can sell it to you with the above issues addressed for $16,000 or in its current condition for $14,000. I really shouldn't have a car right now is what it comes down to. Make an offer; price is not firm.
Currently sitting on the original steel wheels and military 7,50x16 tires, not 18" bling bling wheels
not interested in trading unless you have 2 of these plus cash
