Meet BRUTUS...the Basically Ridiculous Uber-Transport Und Spielwagen
This "Sportsmobile on Steroids" is perfect for a comfortable basecamp for outback moto excursions or a trip to Burning Man.
According to the previous owner, this E-350 Econoline Cargo Van Super was converted into a 4WD "short-bus" for the state of Wyoming to serve rural communities; the 4x4 conversion was performed by Panther. The camper conversion was accomplished by the previous owner with the help of a cabinet-making friend.
Currently has 87,440 miles (and that number is believed to be original miles).
Here's what's new or rebuilt:
Here's some more info:
The van is mechanically well-sorted and runs great. With a 3-speed automatic, you aren't going to be setting cross-country speed records, but it will take you anywhere you want to go.
It could use a paint job. If you're handy with a paint cup...and you have a capable air compressor...it isn't that hard to save a few thousand dollars and do a decent job yourself.
Thanks for looking!
