gm,

I'm selling a 1996 Land Rover Discovery project I recently picked up to tinker with. After having my truck stolen (and recovered), need to sell to pay off/buy some things (sigh) so here I am being a responsible adult. I purchased it from a very well known wealthy family (you can see in the receipts if purchased). I have ~$20,000 in receipts. When I purchased it after sitting for a year and after seeing it fire up right away and run good, I think it's a great build candidate plus love the color.

The asking price is $6,500, however I'll entertain some reasonable offers. I've only owned it for a few months and has barely been driven due to work travel & life.

The Discovery:
  • 1996 Disco
  • 158k miles
  • Woodcote Green over beige leather
  • 4.0l V8
  • No sunroofs (which means no leaks!)
  • Heated & power front seats
  • Dual-zone Climate control

The Build (still finding things):
  • Tactical 4x4
  • Front Winch bumper with Warn winch
  • Mantec Snorkel
  • Baja Rack roof rack
  • Terrafirma front & rear diff guards
  • Terrafirma skid plate
  • Tactical 4x4 steel rear bumper
  • Some three ball hitch
  • Unknown wheels on BFG KM3
  • 2x Nilight on the rear
  • Cobra 19dx iv with magnetic rear antenna
  • Terrafirma suspension
  • Alpine 143BT head unit
  • Fosgate 4.5 coax fronts
  • Fosgate 4.5 coax rears
  • Fosgate R300x4 amp
  • 2x Rockford Fosgate Punch P1 12" with vented Bbox enclosure
  • Probably missing a bunch more I don't know about

The bad (trying to be fully honest, paid ~$500 to have it inspected at Sarek):
  • Needs a passenger headlight
  • The passenger and rear windows don't roll down
  • Anti-lock light on for front left wheel sensor bad
  • CEL on for purge canister closure valve bad
  • AC needs a general service
  • Patch and floor pan service for small rust (see pics below)
  • Needs new wipers installed
  • Rear bumper causes lights to flicker faster since it has fewer lights - need to install resister to fix
  • Adjust parking brake
  • Change oil
  • Replace Motor mounts
  • Replace steel wheel lugs
  • New air filter in air box
  • Replace hood prop clip
  • Swivel ball re-seal with ABS
  • Install battery tie down
  • Alignment
  • Steel brake line service
  • Various broken interior plastic parts
  • Rip in driver seat
  • Some clearcoat peeling on the hood

Pics (sorry realized that the film simulation was still on my X100V, will snap some better ones tomorrow but adding some cell shots too):

Do you know which front bumper (RTE??) that is? Are the switches on the front of the console ARB locker switches?

The front bumper is a tactical rovers I believe. RE switches - I haven’t had time to go through it yet, but it’s certainly plausible
