Do you know of it would be possible for a foreigner to own this truck in the US and keep it stored/insured/registered. We would be interested to use it 4/5 months of the year and explore the continent for a couple of years before we would like to bring it to Europe and continue from there again.
We live currently in Australia.

Hello, Frank.

I don't know the answer to your question with any degree of certainty. I will try to get that information and get back to you.

Bruno, or anyone who knows the answer . . . What is the purpose of the steel construction shown on the rear exterior of the cabin in this picture? Thanks.

To conform to bumper laws would be my educated guess, most state/federal safety guidelines have a law stating a bumper needs to be a maximum distance from the ground to prevent vehicles from going under in the event of a rear collision.

Quite right about the bumper. I'm unable to figure out the shinier full-width thing right under the rear cabin window.

Sorry for the confusion.

And here I thought it was a wheelie bar to stop it from going over.

You can keep it at my house in Southern Oregon :sombrero:
Fees in Oregon for a 26 foot motorhome are $246 for 2 years ($123 per year) and there is no sales tax in Oregon (important on a $275,000 vehicle, $22,687 would be owed in sales tax in Calif.)
Although according to their website you must be an Oregon resident to register a vehicle in Oregon.
I don't know about other states (other then Oregon & California) but your name can be added to an 'in state title'. I've had to do this for my son when he was deployed in the Marines.
Some of the southern states seem to be the easiest to register, but I don't know the specifics. Perhaps others can give their input.
In almost all states motorhomes are exempt from any required pollution inspections and no special drivers license (commercial) are normally not needed due to the vehicle's weight.
In the US insurance for motorhomes is very reasonable, since most people don't drive them that often.
For my Fuso it is less then $100 per year (of course not in the same 'class' of this awesome rig)

Come pick it up, it's ready to go and at a bargain price.
from wiki. Sorry couldn't resist.

"Bargain...Such an agreement where one of the parties thinks the price is very favourable."

Actually it does seem reasonable considering. Somebody with an ER deposit must squirming.

As there is always much talk about which is the 'right' vehicle, where have you been with this where you thought it was the right vehicle? Thanks And glws.

We've only been 4 places with it, Mojave, Death Valley, and upper Michigan. It was right in those few instances.

This is a for sale ad, hopefully by the time someone gets here they already know what they want.
