An excellent, rare truck with very low mileage. We lived on the road with a 30’ camper for 5 months in the summer of 2019. The truck performed flawlessly. No issues towing from Colorado, up to Montana, and then across to Maine. Bought this truck new specifically for that purpose. We wanted one with the heavy duty payload package since we were also considering a small fifth wheel at the time. There were only two F150s with the HDPP available in the entire United States when we bought it. The payload of this truck is rated at 2406 lbs so it would be great for a truck bed camper or overland rig.

We wanted an F150 since its slightly smaller to navigate cities and we didn’t want to take the mileage hit when we weren’t towing. When not towing, it gets 20 mpg on the highway. We sold the camper and don’t need a truck anymore. Would like to sell it to somebody on here looking for the rare F150 with an HDPP rather than trading it in at a dealer. Located in Maine. I still need to get pictures, but posting it now to gauge interest. Asking $42,000.

Features
  • Heavy Duty Payload Package (2406 lbs payload rating)
  • Max towing package (with 36 gallon tank, towing mirrors, brake controller, Pro Backup Assist)
  • Dealer Maintained, no issues
  • 4x4
  • 5.0L V8 Engine
  • 25,000 Miles
  • 6.5 foot bed
  • Crew Cab
  • Running boards
  • all weather mats
  • Engine block heater
  • Spray in bed liner, Ford BoxLink cleats
  • Wired for camper shell (does not come with a camper shell)

No mechanical issues. There is a scrape at bottom of front passenger wheel well
Cracked plastic trim above hitch (it’s a $100 part I haven’t replaced since I was considering a custom bumper)

Oooh, dang. This is tempting. This is a great package. Man, if this was a Supercab instead of a crew, I'd 100% be there. Even still...

Damn I didn’t even know this was a thing! Kind of perfect. GLWS.

Yes, the HDPP is pretty great. Even with the camper and the bed filled with gear, it towed nice and flat. Can't tell you how many 150/1500s I've seen on the road towing or with a camper in the bed where the rear shocks seem bottomed out and the headlights are pointed towards the sky. And that's even with weight distribution hitches. Not great for handling nor for breaking power.

Forgot to post that the truck is "magma red." Depending on the sunlight, it looks black, brown, or a deep reddish purple.

This is a cool truck. I have a 2016 f150 max tow with the 6.5ft bed, and have 1000lbs less payload than you. In fact, your truck has more payload than my 2005 f250 had!

One of the beauty things about f150s is that a lot of the "features" in higher trim trucks can be simply added with Forscan. Good luck with the sale!

I believe you are light on your asking price. Take some time tonight and go on Carvana and request a buy it now price. I think you may be surprised what they will give you for it. Also try the KBB instant offer.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't been to an actual dealer yet, but the price seems accurate based on Carvana and KBB values.

My 2016 supercab f150 has a payload of 2025 lbs, tow package, brake controller, 36 gallon tank, 3.73 ratio and the 5 liter. I had the frame undercoated since I live in Maine.

amazing what the vehicle market is right now for used trucks, GLWS
