SOLD

FOR SALE: Flippac 6' midsized (I had on a gen1 tacoma extracab, previous owner had on a similar vintage frontier)

Location: Erie, Colorado, USA

Description:

- 1991 (I think) flippac
- In fair to average condition for it's age, no structural issues other than the broken torsion bar mentioned below
- Hinge bracket seals going into the fiberglass look great - this was a common area for rust and failure when I researched them
- Includes SLO rain fly (in very good condition)
- Has been stored in the garage for the last few years as I had plans to work on it and has not spent a winter outside while I have owned it
- My wife and I are doing way more day trips to climb/hike/snowshoe so we just aren't using it
- I have over $2000 invested but would really love to see someone get it that wants to give it some love and take it on some adventures

Price: SOLD

Known Problems:

- Broken torsion bar (common) would require replacement or torsion bar delete (see forums for more info)
- I was mid stream on a few repairs that would need to be finished 1) replacing rear lock, old lock remove and have new lock 2) replacing rubber perimeter seals, I had started to take it off and life happened
- I had planned to patch and maybe eventually sew a replacement tent at some point as it is showing it's age
- I had also planned to do some minor repair/paint for the shell itself again I think this is it showing it's age (happy to provide some photos of the kinds of small cracks, chips, etc)
- Previous owner put wood strips under the topper rails to raise the camper rough 1/2" since it was designed for earlier pickups that had shorter cabs, this wood has aged and I planned to replace with similar or possibly something like HDPE
- We have the foam mattress that came with it but it is very deteriorated and I suspect you would rather have me toss it for you... :)

Pictures to follow.

Also request for some photos of wear/tear.

These represent the kinds of small fiberglass issues and represent the most obvious issues I saw in a quick once over this evening. Will try and follow-up with some tent condition photos on Friday or maybe over the weekend if I run out of daylight.
