Just bought this van a few months ago, and hate to see it go so soon, but unfortunately I just don't have the time to finish building this thing out the way I'd like to. We already have a fully setup Sportsmobile with a 8" UJoint lift running on 37s. It rides great and when I saw this other van for sale with a UJoint 4WD conversion and 8" lift on 37s, I couldn't pass it up. Van runs great, is fun to drive, and would make a great camper van for the right person. We plan to keep our Sportsmobile and really don't need two big 4X4 vans on 37s…but could use a little Jeep to take the kids out and about for little day trips into the mountains and around town.
I am not really wanting to sell, but would like to trade for (or towards with more $ on my end) a newer (2007+) Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We have two young kids under 5 years old so really need the four door seating rather than older TJs/LJs/YJs, etc. Looking for around $18,000 in trade value (4WD conversion alone was $20,000 + tires/wheels ($3000?) + Aluminess bumper ($2150), etc. etc.). Let me know what you've got to trade and any questions you have. Van is located in Glenwood Springs, CO.
Since buying it I have put a folding sofa bed in the back (mounted with quick mounts to allow easy removal), seat belts (3) for the rear sofa bed, front swivel bases (driver and passenger), newer/different front seats, new oil cooler, and transmission was just completely rebuilt (have receipts for oil cooler and transmission rebuild). Floor is done, cabinetry is started…needs to be insulated, paneled, and the cabinets need to be finished.
Here's some additional details:
-UJoint 4WD conversion with 8" lift (installed by Built To Last in Durango in 2012)
-Toyo Open Country MT 37X13.5R18 tires…good tread left…at least half
-custom wheels (Pro-Comp)
-Aluminess front bumper (with locking storage/winch compartment)
-aftermarket seats that had been used as middle row seats in another SMB
-driver and passenger swivel bases
-rebuilt transmission (was just done recently)
-Bilstein shocks
-1994 with 114K miles
-gas mileage since I've had it…got about 14mpg on the only highway and around 12 around town
-351 Windsor V8 with E4OD transmission
-sounds great with aftermarket muffler
-Aluminess tire carrier on order (custom built to accommodate 37" spare)
-powder coated rear bumper
-rear hitch
-rear sofa bed is on slide tracks so can slide forward and back as needed for rear cargo needs, etc.
-Bushwacker fender flares
-RunCool hood vents (never installed as not needed but would look good…see picture of some on our other van)
-RunCool side vents (again new in box and not installed or really needed)
-other extras available (Aluminess gas can box with top rails, black rear ladder, etc.)
-rear Aluminess bumper pictured in one of the photos is removed…however, that gas can box is available and an Aluminess swing out tire carrier is on order
