Sold. Sad day.
2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Megacab
Last year of the Cummins 5.9. Laramie Package. 165,000 miles. Clean title in hand.
$24,000.00 (or more unlikely, will trade for a 5th Gen 4Runner 4WD only)
Truck is a daily driver, so miles will go up and it will get a bit dirty.
I am the third owner and purchased the truck at 115,000 miles. From what I was told, the first owner was an older guy that occasionally towed a 5th wheel camper. He sold it to the next guy at about 80k miles I think. Before I bought it I took it to Tomlin Diesel in Franklin for a pre-purchase inspection and it got a clean bill of health so I bought it.
I have never personally towed anything but a 5x8 utility trailer. 95% of its life with me has been driving 80 interstate miles every day for work (400 miles a week) so mostly highway for the last 50,000 miles. It is hard to find this truck in mostly stock form and not abused, with decent miles (less than 12,000 a year), in this condition. It isn’t a perfect show truck, but it is in very good shape overall.
It had an Anarchy Diesel tune on it when I got it, which I removed. It came with a Smarty Jr. also so I put the Smarty on it and tuned it to the “factory tune”, but left the oversize tire calibration on it. I also put the stock intake back on it at one point, but I’m pretty sure I lost about 1 mpg so I put the S&B intake back on. But it has been on a factory tune since I bought it. It has a 4” turbo-back exhaust. I also removed the two-piece steel driveshaft and installed a one-piece aluminum driveshaft from a later model. A/C has been completely replaced except for one hardline under the intake; all other lines, compressor, condenser, accumulator, liquid line with orifice, evaporator, and hi/low line into compressor are new. The outside air blend door was replaced with an aluminum blend door from Blend Door USA. All other HVAC doors were cleaned and new seals were installed. A/C blows ice cold, front and rear. No dash cracks. I have always used Rotella T5 oil, Donaldson ELF7349 oil filters, and Baldwin PF7977 fuel filters. Look this stuff up, but it’s the good stuff.
Comes with an ARE contractor shell with matching locks for the truck key, 5 Dodge factory steel wheels (one with a spare tire), Anarchy tuner, Smarty Jr. tuner, factory carpet mats, and Weather Tech floor mats.
The following is the list of work I have done to the truck.
