If you contact GAP Diagnostics they will reset it to your VIN for like 30 or 40 dollars.

It was a great tool that saved me lots of cash and trips to the dealer to read codes.

New this would run you around $410 including shipping, so even with the ~$35 you pay to Gap for the change of ownership you come out ahead of the game here. Better for somebody with a single vehicle than multiple LRs, IMHO.
