Jury is in. The wife has disallowed me from modifying my work truck. Already in possession of a majorly modified 2001 F450 Fire Truck, his name is Troy, and seeing the effect on the pocketbook and obsessive, never+ending tinkering, "Jake" has to go. One mention of super singles and she said **** no!

2006 extended cab. I'll check on the cab to axle, but it's not super long. Was built out two owners ago by a welder whose name I assume was Jake, judging by the sticker on the driver's window. So Jake he is. Super low 83,900 miles, V10, automatic and the bare bones XL package. Manual windows, lock and manual hubs. In great shape. Interior is 9/10 exterior the same. Issues: Small dent on the front drivers bumper (not my fault or doing). I've noticed a small exhaust leak on the diver side. Probably an exhaust manifold stud.

It has Continental 225 mud tires. I had them siped for winter use. 9' steel flat bed with a large aluminum custom cross body pass through box, 2 top mounted 6 foot bedside boxes and two under body boxes. Clear bed area is approx 78"x60". Huge commercial hitch with pintle. No rust beyond some surface patina on the frame.

These things have the wide track Super 60 front axle and Dana S110 rear with limited slip. It's a tank. It's tight. Turns tight. Would be a great platform for one of those "overland" campers all the kids are talking about.

Located in SLC. Cash. No funny stuff.

This thing is rad! GLWS!

Thanks man. It's a great rig. We've only owned it for a short time. We bought is as a construction and transport vehicle for one of my bars. The construction project is done and my employees are afraid of driving around the city so off she goes!

Hey Baja, forgot to answer your question. Yes, cruise control and AC. Everything else is manual: hubs, xfer case, windows, doors. 16K lb GVWR. I had plans to soften the ride with custom springs and single it out and put a shell on it. But alas, 'tis not to be.

Also should mention, it has the short cab to axle, which is hard to find in the F450/550. With the extended cab the wheel base is about 6" shorter than a F250/350 Crew Cab Long bed. And with the wide track front axle the turning radius is tight.

The flat bed is a 9 foot steel checkerboard custom job that I assume "Jake" built. The boxes are all aluminum. The custom aluminum pass through "backpack" box is huge and houses the spare tire.

Hey all. Finally posted some vids. Cold start, walk around, various driving conditions. Note the noises you hear jangling around is all my tools. Drives great, nice and quiet. The 225 mud tires make a racket, and I did have them siped for snow driving. Worked great going to the ski resorts in Utah this winter. Also have an annoying squeak I haven't tracked down.
