What's all involved in the swap from 4.0 to 4.6? Well, really I'm wondering if you had to swap ecu's/wiring harness or if it just drops in, plugs in and fires up...
The swap was done by replacing the 4.0 with a 4.6 long block. It runs the oem harness, ecu, and all emissions systems. This rover has passed emissions fine in Oregon and Washington, I would think it will be good anywhere else. It also looks completely stock and any rover tech will be able to service it just fine.
