I am selling my 2010 Land Rover LR4 HSE with rear locking diff
Miles: 131,330
(June 1, 2020)
Location: Southern CA

The car has many highly desirable overlanding features, generally documented here on EP: https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/lr4-multi-purpose-duty.151003/
where also many pictures are posted.

The LR has taken us on many adventures, and always safely back home, without ever letting us down or leaving us stranded:
  • White Rim Road
  • Mojave Road
  • Cathedral Valley
  • Needles District (Canyonlands National Park)
    • Elephant Hill
    • Bobby’s Hole
  • Black Bear Pass
  • Engineer Pass
  • Imogene Pass
  • Coyote Flats
  • Papoose Flats
  • Death Valley
  • The adventure trail in Plumas National Forest
Some of the overlanding features:
  • Land Rover winch with remote
  • Land Rover front skid plate
  • Land Rover spot lights
  • Land Rover roof rack
  • Land Rover rear ladder
  • Rock sliders
  • Light bar (turns night to day)
  • Rear spots (convenient for setting up camp)
  • Secondary battery
  • Extra USB outlets at B pillar and in cargo area (off secondary battery)
  • Auxiliary fuel tank (additional 20+ gallon) with gauge and switch for transfer (while driving)
  • 18” Compomotive wheels (5) and OEM wheels (5)
  • ARB awning, zip on room with floor, windbreakers
  • Front-runner drawer system
  • Bluetooth iidtool
  • Roof-top fresh-water tank with nozzle
Mechanical:
  • All service up to date
  • Recent rear rotors and pads
  • Recent coolant system refresh
  • Recent new air-struts, all 4 corners (Arnott), as preventive maintenance
  • New air pump and reservoir will come with car - was to replace pump but upon disassembly found almost new pump in place (date marked)
  • Always a CA car so zero rust
Known issues:
  • The custom rear tire carrier is currently off due to spindle sheering, but it comes with car, and buyer can decide whether to have new spindle welded on, or carry spare tire differently
  • The tire pressure system has just started throwing random errors, but always clears itself. In the past it has been due to battery in one or more tire pressure sensors starting to go low.
  • Once in a blue moon it throws a “check fuel cap”, but it clears itself.
For a CA buyer the car will have a fresh smog (last one 6 months ago - CA registration good til December).

Price: $20k, with everything generally shown in pictures in build thread attached to vehicle. Some reduction available by removing certain items, e.g. drawer system, iidtool, zip-on room + windbreakers, 18” Compomotive wheels ...

Not included:
  • Fridge
  • Maxtrax
  • Highlift jack
  • Fuel jugs
  • Front-runner table
Thanks,
Jes

Hello,

I just got my 2012 totaled by some vandals. Do you have any pics you can post or send?

Hey Jes - I just sold my Expedition Overland 4Runner on here a month ago or so, and am possibly interested in your vehicle. Do you have any current photos? I like the idea of being able to tow more in cases where I need to. It looks through the build thread but they're two or more years old. Would be great to see some current photos including the undercarriage.

Thanks!

James

Hi James,

It really doesn't look much different except for the tire carrier being off, as noted in the ad. I will move it out of the garage and take some pictures this weekend.

Thanks,
Jes

I should mention that the 2 2nd row seats that have been out for the past few years come with the car and bolt right in. We just need the space for fridge and storage more than seat space... In our case, the left-most seat fits along with our fridge, in case anyone prefers that configuration.
