Selling my 2002 Ford E-350, van has been awesome is ready for next owner to build out to their specs. Here is what you get:
2002 Ford E-350 Class B van
7.3l Powerstroke Turbo Diesel
285k miles, fleet maintained, runs very strong
4 speed automatic transmission - shifts smooth
Fiberglass hi-top
Roof tent style poptop sleeps 2 adults comfortably - 9ft! Headroom with top popped 5’ 10” - 6ft with it down, depending on bed position
Dual battery system- 2 deep cycle house, 2 brand new Interstate starting batteries
Large Xantrex 120v power inverter / battery charger with shore hookup
JVC dual DIN stereo with aux and usb hookup/iphone support and small remote
Camping lights on left, right and rear of van
Front 2” hitch receiver and bike rack for 2 bikes
Rear 2” hitch receiver
Matching Bridgestone E rated tires with good tread
Rear A/C and heat
Roof rack
I picked this up in Northern California where it was a EMT training vehicle at a University. No rust, very clean and well maintained. I needed to move house from California to New England during the pandemic, so added the poptop with inspiration from the ‘Ambuland’ build on Expedition Portal which is a rooftop tent permanently incorporated into the fiberglass hitop, works great, and sleeps 2 6ft adults comfortably.
Minor build out down below, added a single bed sideways, only long enough for a shorter adult or a kid- due to van width. Also added 2x folding leather seats from Mercedes M class. Insulated the entire top with 1” foam, sides have thin insulation as well. Kept a few cabinets, but didn’t do any finish work downstairs, trim, lights etc.. but some lights and stuff will come with the van, I ran out of time to build it out further.
In the past 6 months I drove it about 10k miles from NorCal to San Diego, then all the way to Maine and then down to Key West, FL for the winter without skipping a beat! Changed oil religiously every 3-4k miles.
Basicaly a blank slate with solid rust free van and 7.3l powertrain and poptop, ready for next owner to use or build out futher as they see fit. Use tomorrow as a motorcycle hauler with sleeping up top, or build out into a full Sportsmobile style camper van.
Recent work in the past month or so:
Replaced passenger side fuel return line that was leaking (v. Common)
Replaced fuel filter
Replaced air filters
Oil change
Issues:
One of the injectors is clicking, apparently a common issue
Previous owner dented the oil pan
A/C works but needs a recharge, its not super cold
New lower price! $8,000 / obo
Located in South Florida, will be in use until sold, so mileage may increase slightly
Thanks for looking!
