back when 240hp was Ferrari / Corvette power level... fun thing about forced induction is you can basically dial in the power that you want via boost - but understand what the limitations are

I was at sea level but at altitude I suspect this would be way better than the standard 22R

Original BOS on this went about $35k; I can imagine that was a pretty penny.

I'm not sure what BOS means... original price, maybe?

CPI has only gone up 2.69x since then, so it's $94k in today's money.

Turbo added about 25hp

vs ~120 hp for the 22RE. At altitude it could be more significant.

Oh, then it was a 15hp adder... 135 hp I believe.

ok I had to look it up - I think they went with the V6 after this instead of going turbo route but here's what I found with a quick google, so here it says +38hp and +40ish ft-lbs of tq, available at lower rpm

plus it was fuel injected vs carbureted. Pretty low boost as well from factory which was easy to turn up, which I did along with the other mods. (custom hybrid turbo, intake/exhaust work, added intercooler) Never did official dyno after though
