SOLD
Last year I picked up this Westfalia pop top and hardware with the intention of grafting it into a bed topper for my pickup (for a homegrown-style version of a Go Fast Camper). Unfortunately I'm losing my shop space, so I need to downsize my plans. This top is off of a late bay window VW bus (~1978). It's a bit rough around the edges, but is solid overall and could absolutely continue to be used. It has a bit of non-structural cracking in the epoxy material around the wood on which the canvas staples — a bit of fresh epoxy could easily seal it up. The wood underneath doesn't appear to be rotted (which is an issue sometimes). The fuzzy flock material that was on the inside has been sanded off (it was moldy and gross). The outside needs to be painted or coated (I was going to used a marine paint of some sort, but never got there).
This sale will include the following...
• Main fiberglass pop top
• Smaller fiberglass luggage rack
• Hinges (and hardware for connecting to the top)
• Prop bar (and hardware for connecting to the top)
• Various other small handle and mechanism hardware
I'm looking to get $350 for everything
The top is located in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts
