I think we need to synch The Doors "Riders On The Storm" to this thread!

You can add "pictures of pizza boxes" Pat, that just makes me hungry!:coffeedrink: I looked though you gallery yesturday-nice work!

I'll bet the shallow water fishing is pretty dang good there, I need to escape with my fly rod soon, I was wondering about the sail boat on it's side. Was that abandoned or are they just doing a bottom scraping the old fashioned way?

^see..I don't get views like that at my house which totally takes away from the storm pictures I get. I need to get out into the open for some storms this monsoon season. Mine still won't come close to yours though, you're making me jealous haha.

Actually those are lazy shots off my front and back porch. This year I hope to get out and capture some good storm pics from more out of the city locations.

The good thing about lazy shots is I can run inside when I get scared.:Wow1:

Fishing around these waters are great. I was just talking with a local who came in from fishing who said they were in waist deep water at low tide spearing Flouder all afternoon!!! I had never even knew you could do that, but they had a cooler full of them...Big too!!:Wow1:

Huge area for Red Fish and Black Drum, I see the Drums picking through the oyster beds right off our dock daily. Had a guest catching Blue Crab off a string line that had a piece of hot dog on the end of it over the weekend.

Yeah, basically the same thing Matt. I'm sure every fishing village has their own name for them

But when you live in or around a fishing community, you learn real quick, that EVERYONE has a pair of these and most just say something like "Go grab your Nike's and lets go out on the boat"

You need to have these heavy duty boots because the waters are filled with oyster beds, sting rays and sharp shells, so you either have wet shoes at all times or you'll blow out a flip flop on a daily basis

Since most of the fisherman live in these boots, its not uncommon to see them in these at any event going on in or around town. That or barefoot. I was at a town meeting a few nights ago where they were talking about the Oil Spill and what's going to happen if it reaches our waters and shorelines.

I looked around at the standing room only building, and I was in flip flops, but everyone else around me was barefoot :sombrero: It's laid back here
