It's a Leer 100xl. It's not as sturdy as the snug top. I'm actually trying to sell it and get a diamond back truck cover. Still trying to figure it all out. I do like the Rino racks.

Well, I recently started a "relationship" with a forum more specifically designed for my truck (powerstroke). As it turns out, there are a lot of 12 year olds operating in these types of forums with little more to say than some type of quick quip which honestly does little to no more than devalue the communities as a whole. SO, I'm glad to be back here, in a community which actually cares more about the sharing of information, inspiration and stories.
So, whats new with the Bear. Well, the bed is getting a bit more advanced.

Of course, these photos are the "tame" around the house versions.
This advancement is actually a consideration based on my need to get to the front of my bed (or rather get things FROM). It is also strong enough to hold me or the boys up in chairs while we watch the sun go down.

I considered a bed slide, I quickly realized I would get stuff stuck behind it and under it when sliding it in.

The install was pretty simple. Flip and bolt down the rails. Secure the tie down points.
Measuring is important but not as difficult as I anticipated.
When drilling, make sure not to push the bit through all the way...fuel talk and all.

Well I think everything is going pretty good so far
It makes for a great mobile observation deck
And even a dog rest
I might have to back up to a stream or river and fish off the back
