Idasho I don't think a newsflash applies to suspensions last factory-issued 22 years ago but just IMO. I'm sure everything there is to be known about how and where Ford used the TTB system is known by someone, it's just not me. Are you suggesting it's you?

Yeah leaves vs coils will change bushing count but only if the VANS equipped with TTB (wait, Ford never...yeah you knew that already) are also leaf sprung and I've never put my nose under one to know first hand. Have you?

Oh and I think you meant TTB F150s, Broncos, Rangers, Bronco IIs, Explorers, and as far as I know all TIBs, from which the TTB was derived, were coil sprung, right?

Perhaps you should re-read the actual TITLE of this thread.

"split axle from f250 1980-1997"

Yes, LEAF sprung.

Any more questions?

Ya left out "...front Quigley used" and I dunno how Quigley (or whoever did the conversion) sprung it. Do you? Kinda feel like I'm repeating myself...

Thats what Im getting at.

What the OP of this thread was told and what is actually under the rig doesnt necessarily have to be the same.

It is my understanding that Quigley uses all factory parts for the conversion.

The TTB D50 has never been coil sprung.

The TTB D40 was coil sprung (and leaf sprung)

Every ford van that I have seen, 4x4 or not has been coil sprung.

So unless the axle went under the knife to accept not only coil spring buckets, but trailing arms as well,
Id have to assume that the axle used was a D44.

Ya got me. Never heard of the D40. Tell me more.

UJoint and many others will be along shortly so I'm just gonna go pop some corn. You might check out the 1st Gen Econolines too (prior to 1968 or so I think) since they had a beam axle and leaf springs that were pretty popular for hot rod swaps back in the day.

Your still forgetting about radius arms.

if you dont have leafs, you need radius arms.

Im talking specifically about Quigley. Ive never seen a leaf sprung Quigley van.

...4x4 or not...

...When did 2wd vans come into the discussion?

Makes perfect sense. Ford = Quigley. 4x4 or not does not include 2wd. Must be some 6x6's I've overlooked. They'd have to be Quigley 6x6s too since you're speaking specifically about them. Learn some new things every day.

Look I'm not trying to be a ********. It comes naturally I guess. You seem to not only be talking beyond your depth but now your words have gotten circular. For the sake of taking the high road less traveled, I'll shut up and let someone else help you along. I really like your custom camper and that's part of the reason I'm playing nice here. G'day

Your leaving? Are you done quoting out of context?

Did you ever get that bushing count total with the radius arms?

I know thats important :ylsmoke:

The cross members on the vans are completely different from the trucks so not an easy or direct swap on the TTB. Salem Kroger also did TTB conversions on vans. I had an E150 with TTB and loved the way it rode on and off road. I did not have alignment issues. I now have an E350 diesel and am debating on solid axle or TTB, going more toward TTB though since I run more desert type trails.

Were the S/K TTB vans called quadvan? Do you know the years he used TTB?

I'm not sure I could justify agile's $10k TTB for my 1995.. But I could justify a rusted out S/K parts van.
