Seems like a heafty price for something that doesnt have a whole lot. Not a ton of goodies on it. Looks really nice quality though.

I agree, but it does have LOTS of space and would be great behind one of those killer vans! :D It is amazing the space picked up when tubing in the wheels like that...

...but it ain't no AT, that is for sure!

Did Sportmobile really make it or is it somebodys home built project??

Didn't know they made trailer.....

I also agree...needs more options for a asking price that high.

My 2 cents....

I know they sold them in the past with the Sportsmobile name on them. Read somewhere they have stopped selling them. Not sure who built it for them. I have seen them at the SMB West plant in red and tan on several past visits. Nice quality, but it appears to be just a basic box for storage.

The Sportsmobile trailers were made by a Southern Cal company specifically for Sportsmobile. The trailers are fiberglass with a live axle and leaf springs.

The last we heard from Sportmobile they were selling the trailers they had in stock and would not be producing any more.

The trailer is very straight forward as it's used as a cargo hauler. The Sportsmobile van has everything you need for Expedition including the kitchen sink in it. The trailer increased the cargo capacity.

Same price as a base Chaser.

Yes that is very true, but a very difficult comparison.

The Sportsmobile trailer is used, it has a lid, tailgate, rack, tires and rims. It also has a live axle and leaf springs with a fiberglass body.

The Chaser is new. Has a trailing arm airbag suspension, and is made from zinc washed steel.

If you price out the trailer from the Sportsmobile page it would cost new $4960.00 plus tires and rims and Linex.

I'd have to say to judge value, instead of comparing it to a Chaser trailer it would be better to value this used 2004 Sportsmobile trailer at $4000.00 against a new Sportsmobile trailer.

Once you have made your mind up based on that criteria you could decide to purchase it or not.
