I have the Springtail setup as well. It's definitely one of the most clever storage solutions I have seen in a while.

Good luck,

I have this on my fj cruiser, and if they do it for a disco, I highly recommend it. Very high quality manufacturing and incredible storage solution.
Here is a picture on my fj

Steve -

The email should be in your inbox. Doc has been very eager to break into the Rover community with these. The MOLLE gear is good, tough stuff to use. I use the Smittybilt MOLLE seat covers in my jeep and they're awesome.

I like the idea of the Olivares table a little better for the rear door, like this one on Sinuhe's Discovery.

He said he'd need about 35-50 interested parties in order for him to make these to LR specs.

Does that mean to fit Land Rovers or to be built to OEM standards.

Land Rovers are held to a higher standard than a Jeep. Don't stoop down and make your Land Rover a Jeep or FJC. They deserve better than that.

i'd be interested in cheap seat covers (waterproof) if they're made to fit a DII and not some generic cover

If they were held to a higher standard then jeep and toyota, why do those brands have such excellent reliability ratings, and resale values.

If I could take the motor from a Jeep, and the drivetrain from a Toyota, I would in a heartbeat.

Don't play Expedition ************, keep it friendly, and keep your negative Jeep, Yota comments to D-Web.

There are some awesome products here, I'd gladly use them in any of my vehicles.

As far as reliability Toyota yes, Jeep no. Resale values well that is debatable for FJ80s that sold for 20k more and are only worth maybe a few thousand more than a similar year Discovery that everyone compares them to. Now I didn't mention Toyota though is the problem. I mentioned the FJC. The FJC has had its problems and weaknesses. I don't want to brand bash. My family only owned Toyotas growing up. Toyotas aren't perfect. Friends had Jeeps and they are far from ideal. I am not saying that Land Rovers are the perfect overland vehicle either.

What I was stating is that some products that are designed for certain vehicles do not always look good on others. Usually this deals with the fit and finish of the products. I don't understand why some get so sore because someone disagrees with the way a product looks for a certain application. Land Rover had many accessories that complimented the factory look. These parts looked liked they belong. Other manufacturers sell aftermarket products that look aftermarket or universal. So some see this as try to keep to the look that Land Rover was going for, use OEM products to keep with the visual aesthetics. Now where other makes didn't always supply this from the factory, aftermarket products are used. This might make for a look that doesn't necessarily compliment your vehicles lines.

So if you get offended because someone doesn't like they way a product looks in/on your vehicle, because you went an easy or cheap path instead of taking extra time or money, then realize it is their opinion. Why should it be seen as snobbery because someone took the time and money to make something look right. It's called craftsmanship and an eye for detail. Now does everything need to have the genuine or OEM look, no. But if it is poor quality or detracts why should we praise it. I don't think these MOLLE products look that great in a Rover, but they fit a Jeep. I would like to see the FJC go a different route with a rear door configuration that doesn't look so added on. I like what WagonGear is doing as far as storage solutions for the FJ owners. That is why I asked if it's just going to fit the Land Rover or if it will be built to OEM standards as far as fit and finish.

I've been in contact with the guy who makes these. He said he'd need about 35-50 interested parties in order for him to make these to LR specs. I've got an initial design on a power point, if you want to see what I've got set up - PM me and I can email you the specs. Any takers?

Checked out the website... I like it. I'd be interested in a DI rear door, though.

The molle bags that they sell as well as the mounting system looks great. If I had a need for it I would purchase it.

In my personal opinion, that sounds "snobbery" as you put it.
