Springtailsolutions.com "backpack" hook *FEELER*

I guess I'm more confused as to what this thing does. What is the purpose or benefit over just putting the pack on the floor?

You could probably put smaller items underneath it? with the saved floor space?

Just an overall suggestion, maybe these mounts are better suited attached to the second row seats since there are usually no passengers in the third row? You can put small items in those organizers/backpacks and still keep the floor nice and organized.

Did you make these for 100 series also? Or will they fit both 80 series and 100 series? Will they work on second row seats?

It would be interesting if they would fit headrests throughout the vehicle (i.e, some people might use it on the back seats)

It has been confirmed that in the 97 80 series that the headrest are interchangeable throughout the rig, so unless Springtail has a issue with the contour of the back of each seat, row to row one BPH would fit throughout the rig.

I have been following Doc's huge thread since he started it over on the blue site.

I will be ordering my two for the rear of the front seats (I have not rear seats in my FJ Cruiser) to place my hydration pack on.
Space is precious in smaller vehicles, and this hook for the seat back gives you extra room to put stuff below that your pack might normally take up.

I can attest to Doc's quality of the stuff he designs too, I bought this from him when they first came out.

Correct the solution frees up valuable floor space, as noted per springtail's site.

I agree with using this on the second row seats to organize the cargo area as a full time solution. My plan is to use one on the PS third row seat FT and the PS FT but mound facing forward so that I may using my backpack in a mobile office setup. When needed it is not an issue to remove the headrest and store the bracket in the "useless" bungee holder...giving it new found purpose.

For clarity, I am not producing these and have only been gathering information for the 80's, however, I have strongly suggested that there is interest expressed from the Tacoma and, now the 100's, crowd so stay tuned for a response from springtail or email them throught their site.

Good idea. I usually just use a biner hooked to the headrest riser bars. I also have put biners on all of the headrests and ran webbing between the front and second row to hang stuff from. You can make a lot of helpful things with webbing and biners.

Great idea!

I'll bet if you left a hole on one side to pin it, and slotted the other side, it would work for just about any headrest, Toyota or otherwise.

cool idea.
what i do is just take the out the headrest and feed both posts through the loop at the top of the bag/pack and reinsert. has worked for years. i think when it comes time to actually have a passenger in the back though (less kids), the pack/bag would so large that it would be a nuisance. ive run into that myself with my solution.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but anyone modify one to fit a Tacoma (or other size) headrest? I am plotting a 3k mile road trip here in 3 months and think mounting my daypack with 100oz hydrapak mounted behind my seat would be good.
