Very cool. It will be intersting to see the finished products. Maybe I'll like the '08's better then.

Nice!!!

Who is telling Toyota they're doing a good job with the way they're making all their trucks look!!??

First the Taco, then the Tundra, now this! (barf!) What's wrong with rugged good looks?

Does it have a diesel? That might make up for being f'ugly.

The market. Toyota is afterall threatening GM for #1 in worldwide sales.

Do Toyotas sell because they just seem less bad than the competition? Probably some of that, likely just on the presumption of reliability. I can tell you this much, my wife likes the current 4Runner better than our pickup, so I think our views are warped from the norm. Truth be told, I think the new 130 series looks no better or worse than the 80 or 100 series and I happen to think the current Tacoma looks just fine. I do like the early Tacos better, but I think the ones with flush headlights (what, 1998+?) and that weird later (like 2001+) grill look odd.

I rather like the look of the new 200 series truck.

Honestly, I don't care all that much what it looks like. I'm interested in the "guts" of the thing myself. I'm seeing :cow: myself. Big frame, big engine, big axles, etc.

I think these trucks are going to be awesome with some coilovers and 35" tires. Not to mention the armour that is already being made for it.

Overseas models do get a diesel or the 4.7L V8 while Americans get the 5.7L V8.

I'm with you, I'm over the whole looks issue. People said the same things about the 100-series. Its nothing a ARB/SLEE roo-bar can't fix!!!
