Did you locate the compressor by the exhaust downpipe? I looked at that location for my compressor, but a little concerned about the heat, unless also adding a shield.

compressor is elevated and does not sit on the unibody...they built a bracket that uses the 2 bolts for the coil over and the engine brace....so it sits even with the coolant tank....i am thinking there should be plenty of air flow under the bracket and compressor. but some refelctive wrap may not be a bad idea though.

Great thread, I too have a WK, unfortunately though I'm riding stock with the V6 and QT1. looking to get into expedition trips more so than true wheeling. I'm actually trying to sell my v6 and pic up a v8 with qt2, but finding the right buyer is always tough. Great looking WK though, really inspiring to get to work on mine.

If you are looking to upgrade to a V8 look for the QD2 system. Front and rear limited slip diffs.

Have you been wheeling since you put the Ruff Stuff Diff cover on yet?
I have been doing a lot of rebuild work t my WK. Nothing it "really"needed, but now it will not need it for awhile. Will start a build thread here soon as I am now moving into more the Overland build phase, and out of the Jeep maintain, disassemble, clean, oil/grease, reassemble.

I never even saw the washout as I crested a small rise.
