Just a few quick pics of the first basic mods...

Removed rear seat and built platform for ARB fridge/NL powerpack (will eventually have a slide-out and a rack with tiedowns)

Then added the Utility cap, sliding platform and basic bottom deck.

DOM sliders from White Knuckle Off-Road (pure beef).

After I finish the interior cab platform and rack setup, then will focus on the inside of the cap/bed. Want to keep it pretty functional, so don't anticipate a bunch of cabinetry, but some organizational structure and storage with tie-downs.

Nice truck! Definitely have that one on the radar as a candidate for a future purchase. I get a $675 pm truck allowance and if that Tundra is anywhere near as reliable as my Tacoma has been, it's a winner. What kind of mpg's are you getting? Is that a 5 or 6 ft bed? Thanks..

Its the 6-1/2' bed. Last time I looked at the mileage it was 14.2 average across a trip to socal and a bunch of local driving.

You have a very nice start to a fine offroad truck. I know for a fact Tundras can wheel offroad mine has never let me down.

Installed a board across the top 2/3 of the back wall. Will eventually add more storage options to the passenger side. Also in the shot is the National Luna Powerpack, ARB Fridge and a 120V inverter.

Fridge slide should arrive soon from Sierra Outfitters and then the driver side will be complete.

Several small/minor projects wrapped this week.

Had a fantastic fan installed and hung some cargo nets overhead in the cap.

Made window screens and curtains.

Had rails installed and then installed towers and crossbars. Still undecided on what kind of rack I want to go with.

nice setup!

have you considered building a rack? can make it exactly the way you want.

Well, I needed the rack this weekend for a trip next week through CO so I went ahead and drove up to the REI in Sacramento to pick up a Yakima MegaWarrior. I want to do something custom but I'm going to be stuck w/o a place to fab anything for a year or more (moving to Irvine in a couple weeks).

That is exactly what I have been getting out of my truck 14.2 mpg.. 33 inch and lift.. Surprisingly with the roof rack I am getting those mileage.. I did the Charcoal filter removal in the airbox and gained a whee bit more mileage.. Used to avg 13.8

Ethernectar... grew up in Irvine and am down there all the time for some great food.. if you need a place to Fab.. hit me up. I'm not to far from there.. and definitely great to meet fellow Tundra nuts..

Well, getting settled down here in OC now. Got the HAM and CB installed a few weeks ago. Just picked up the truck today after having the Icon 3/1 lift installed. Taking it out to Pismo at the end of the month.
