Stolen ER!

It appears to be Bill Swails himself who made this post under the "sightings" thread, but I thought it deserved its own thread...

Last night an EarthRoamer XV-LT was stolen from a Ford Dealership in La Mesa California.

The stolen vehicle is a Pueblo Gold, 2006 Ford F-450, Crew Cab based EarthRoamer XV-LT. It has Montana License plates number 4C57847 and the serial number plate by the camper entry door is #028, VIN# 1FDXW47P06EB71569


If you spot an EarthRoamer matching this description, please call 911 immediately to report the stolen vehicle. Also, please call 720-862-0040 so we can report the sighting to the owner.

Hope they find this truck quick...Does she have Lojack or GPS? Does anyone have a photo of the truck so as to assist anyone who thinks they may have seen it?

Went by today and didnt see it, over the 10' electric fence. I am going back by next week to check the status. It wasn't on the "sell list" today so maybe its not for sale...

Nice find. What's up with the first posts? Any vested interests in seeing this thing sell? For as much as possible? Cool with me if you do, but would be nice if everyone was upfront about it.

Someone might be able to score an ER for a reasonable price, maybe not.

The First post was dated when it was first stolen. The rest came once someone saw it in the impound lot.

I sure would love to know what they end up selling it for. They say that it was stripped and had front end damage, but did not show any photos that implied damage other than it looks like the radio may be missing. I would want to see interior photos of the camper area, see what is missing other than the radio and the spare tire. (who they heck do they reckon they will sell that tire and wheel to?)

Looks like it is pretty good still, that is nice.

Thanks for the heads up!! Very nice of you to tip the forum peeps off to this. Looking at it, says primarily front end damage and the bumper does look to be tweaked. And the camper interior looks trashed a bit. Maybe it was used to run illegals or trip or two?... chuckle. Ended up in the ditch when the BP tried to stop them. Pure speculation.

Would be nice to know the backstory on it, why it is going to auction. One would think insurance would bring it back to its once pristine condition for the original owner. But now it's up for auction, very odd for such a pricey vehicle. Maybe the damage is extensive? Someone should take a look...
