Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

People are starting to get a hell of a lot of light-duty over landing in their Subarus. Here is mine at grand Tetons and then Yellowstone.

Wife and I area heading up there in a few weeks. Would you mind telling me where that camp-spot is? Looks like there is a bear locker so I's assuming its established?

That is a primitive campground at Slough Creek in the north end of the park near mammoth hot springs. Apparently this area is tough to get into. I kind of lucked into it when I was exploring one morning. It is first come first served, no reservations. Plan to arrive there around 6:30 or 7:00 am to see who leaves. That site is appropriately labeled as #1. A much bigger vehicle would easily fit. I can't really say enough good about the spot. It was really lovely when I was there at the end of September. There was a pit toilet at the campground that was kept cleaner than many bathrooms with running water. I think they close this campground around October 1.

Avoid mammoth hot springs campground. It's packed tight and right next to a road. Another decent place nearby is just outside the park north entrance in the national forest at eagle creek campground.

Here's mine. First post on this board. Still trying to decide what came pattern to put on her, she's been mine less than a year. 2013 Forester! Only mods so far was to remove the foam tray around the spare to fit more great and bed liner the front and rear bumper.
