I need to add a winch. What do you guys think about this early 60's Warn Belleview 6000? Cable actuated brake and everything.

Added second battery cables via the engine grommet...no tears on rubber, or holes drilled
Sealed with RTV, still gotta dress wires with conduit...
Wire runs all the way back to were the donut spare tire used to be...

Love the Outbacks. I miss my 2010. The 3.6R is the perfect platform IMO. Plenty of power and lots of space. People underestimate how much space is actually inside the ones. Nice ride, I love everything about it.

I drove two hours north yesterday, engine temp varied from 219-221 at 70 mph temp was 68f.
For the trip back I popped off the hellas which I was sure was blocking the radiator air flow. There was no change.

What the hell?

way to big of a winch... are you planning a hidden installation behind the plate? Would kill your approach angle with it sticking out like that....

Apparently the indicated temp is oil temp and not coolant temp. No cause for concern.

Hey Thoff , thanks for posting. Looks like you used your space very well. Is that item on the upper left a fridge? How much room between your sleeping platform and the ceiling?

depending on the picture your talking about its just a storage case for camping gear or my subwoofer. i have about 17" between the platform and roof, which may not seem like much but I'm tall and skinny so it works for me.
