Submit your offroad or National Park picture

Howdy,
Earlier this week I launched a new site called Focus of the Day, offering daily feeds of 4x4 and National Park photos. An example of those feeds can be found here and here.

So far the response has been GREAT!! Over 50 daily subscribers in about 4 days is better than I imagined (ok, so two of those are me and my wife :) ). I've got a wealth of subject matter but I'd like to add some variety and that's where you come in.

If you have a great photo showing 4x4s In Action, National Parks, Overland Travel or any of the other subjects listed on the site, please use the submission form here to be included. The viewership on the site is growing daily. You are encouraged to include a couple of links to any site you wish, so please feel free to promote yourself, interests, charity, etc...

I've also changed the legal crud at the end to more strongly state we will NOT sell your photograph in any way. I will still allow my personal images to be available for download as a desktop background, or to order a print. You will retain all copyright to your image and can use this as another vehicle to promote your work if you like (or just a link back to ExPo ;) ).

If you have any questions, please let me know! thanks!
Peter

I tried submiting a file, but I can't tell if it worked. Nothing happened, when I clicked the "Submit" button.

yes, this is my shenanigans. It's been something I've wanted to do for a while and finally got around to it. I like sharing photography of cool places and figured others would like to to. if it's left for me to submit all the photos, it'll just be Land Rovers and one Jeep, and no one wants that. :)

Brian, you should have got redirected to a thank you page. One note I just added was to keep the photo size small, 2.5MB or less. It seems large files clog the works.
Hit the back button and give it another whirl. You should always receive an email for each submission to the email address you included on the form, as a double check.

OK, I submitted 2. I got the "Thank you" screen on one, and a "blue mail" screen on the other. I did get an email reply for both. :victory:

And I got both of yours as well, Brian. Thanks! The Death Valley is awesome and I'll use it next week for sure. I'll work on refining the email, but if you get a reply, you know it got through.

A new feed begins...

Adding to the two current feeds of National Parks and 4x4s In Action, Focus of the Day now has a Random feed. Yes, it's just that, Random stuff that's enjoyable to look at. It's not mundane shots of our pets, but a mix of travel, still life and nature shots, with some odd balls thrown in. Two subscription buttons are located below for your ease in subscribing.

If you'd like to see your family friendly photo in the feed, along with a couple of links of your choosing, submit a photo or two at focusoftheday.com. You retain all copyright and can get some good exposure for the sites of your choice.

Brian, your Death Valley NP shot went up today at Focus of the Day - National Parks. Thanks for the submissions! Your 4x4 shot will appear later this week at Focus of the Day - 4x4s in Action.

Tim, I'll be using your waterfall picture for the NP feed this week as well.
And Curt, I'd like to use the shot you sent in in the Random feed this week until I get Mountains setup and running (probably in 3-5 weeks).

Thanks again for the submissions, keep them coming!

Woo Hoo. That's cool. Some of those 4X4 shot are wild. I like the one taken at speed, looking back along the Rover. Kudos Perry!

psssst, Brian....it's Peter. :p
thanks for the compliments.

PETER, Peter, yes, of course, Peter. I must lock this into my PEA brain.
I must have been really tired last night. I went and looked at the image, specifically to get the name, before making the post. And I still screwed it up.

My appologies.:p And it's still a cool shot, Perry. (Umm, Peter ;) )
