regardless, good work! looks like a quality product. i think the way i envision it, the fairlead would be more in the center of the bumper. symmetrically top to bottom and side to side. but that would work better on a smaller bumper with a smaller winch.

The fairleads off because of the body lift..... when I bought the truck it had a 3" body lift and 4" suspension lift installed...if I had removed the body lift....then it would be more centered. Normally I run 6-9 inches of suspension lift on my 4x4's...this truck was such a good deal....that if I'd taken off the body lift...if would have left me with only a 4" suspension lift...not enough...so then I would have had to remove the 4" lift and install a much larger one......Wayyyy more money then I wanted to spend...

So...I kept it as is.....and worked around it. But I agree.....they did a TERRIFIC job.

Great custom bumper!

Not meant I jack thread, how do the hub unit bearings hold up to the big tires?

Just fine...the original owner put 36's on it the week he bought it and I've had it for a year....low mileage tho, about 70,000 but it's been great except for MPG...but I knew that going in....

That is a nice Burb, somewhere out there is a diesel to put in there to increase those MPG's.

Man, there has to be a Cummins 12v somewhere out there for little $$$ to make you and the burb happy.

Well, I just got back from picking up the Suburban from Jim and the crew over at Outdoor Logic in Riverside, CA. I gotta say I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of their craftsmanship AND the outstanding customer service I've received. Outdoor Logic definitely went above and beyond on this one.

This thing is truly a work of art!

Being the finicky bastard I am, I had them change the color to black at the last minute...don't get me wrong...the dark gunmetal color they had on it was beautiful...very "Factory" looking.....but after seeing it I decided to change it to black. Jimmy was more than accommodating to my request...didn't bat an eye. And now it's perfect! They even relocated the remote control plug to inside the fenderwell (on the back of the bumper) for PERFECT easy access....VERY trick!

I'll shoot some pics of it once I get it washed and post them up. I'm a very happy customer!

Once again.....a big THANKS to Outdoor Logic for making this happen.

No disrespect but curious why you make it flush to the grill shell? I know most all body on frame trucks have frame twist and I have seen the gap at the outside edge of the grill grow almost an 1" wider than at rest. The other side will typically close up that amount. That's why the factory leaves a gap between the bumper and grill shell, to account for this flex. Ever watch one of the truck commericals where they show the truck going over some rough terrian, in slow motion. Look at how much the bumper to grill movement there is. It's amazing.

I would think this setup might cause the grill shell to get compressed and crack the shell, especially at the outer edge/corner. Just an observation, otherwise very nice work.

XjMike , I agree it is a tight fit..Perhaps a little tighter then I wanted... That bottom trim piece is flimsy plastic.. It should be okay...
