Suburban/Tahoe(and GMC) pic/build thread

here is my recent acquisition:

its a 2010 tahoe with the dual bench seats and third row delete. this way you can still carry 6 and have nearly a 4' square for cargo.
no really offroad pics yet. i did take it out to a local sand bar on the river and it did fine.

That Tahoe is in great shape! Just about any Tahoe/'Burban from that vintage here in the Northeast has major rust issues.

I have an 01 Yukon XL 2500, and somewhere found pictures of yours as inspiration for mine. I've yet to begin modifying my rig, but I love your bumpers. Who made them? Also, can you go into detail on your Duramax swap? I've considered swapping mine if I can find a reasonable donor vehicle locally. Seems most of the cheap ones have crazy miles, gotta wait for a clean one to wreck I guess.

2000 Suburban 1500 as it progressed into the Avaburb it is today!

Started with 3" rear coil spacers and cranked front torsion keys.

3" body spacers, 37" tires and eBay fender flares.

Typical outing to the lake.

Family dirt bike outing.

Front coilover conversion installed.

Snorkel installed and dust intake from running in the desert decreased.

Exploring the dunes.

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Nevada.

Mojave mailbox.

Mars.

Assatigue Island Maryland. Slowly converting the truck to look like and Avalanche, and Raptor SVT front bumper.

Spent the last 5 years exploring the southwest desert, and now meandering around the east coast.

1990 3/4 ton Suburban, 350 engine, SM465 manual trans, E locker in the back, 2.5" lift, 33" tires. Old enough to have factory straight front axle but new enough to have fuel injection. Room for an air mattress in the back so no more sleeping on the ground. Subs are great rigs.

My 06 2500 4wd, 6.0, 4:10’s. H2 wheels w/ 285 Duratracs. Green keys with Bilstein 5100’s. Frontier front bumper, Ranch Hand rear.

Hahaha, yeah, this winter alone did a better number on my rockers than 20 years in the southwest. Partially why I'm putting the Avi plastic cladding on the truck, hiding the rust is just as good as fixing out here. Will probably end up pulling the body off the frame and completely sanding and re-painting/sealing it to get a few more years out of the truck.
