Superwinch X9 issues

My superwinch X9 isn't working right now. I have a good albright solenoid powering it and whenever I try to use the winch all I get is a click from it. I would take it off the truck but the line is tensioned onto the bumper and I am having a hard time getting it into freespool.

I had the same problem with my Warn, but only would happen in one direction. Turned out to be a bad switch on the hand control. It would let the juice flow but not enough to energize the solenoids. I proved it out by swapping the wires on the switch. Quick and cheap way to do it. That's what fixed mine.
