Suzuki XA Alpha concept

A blog named IndianAutosBlog has posted photos of a new Suzuki concept vehicle called the Suzuki XA Alpha. The vehicle was shown at the Indian Auto Expo this month.

Clearly inspired by the Range Rover Evoque, the concept is probably based on the Suzuki Jimny 4x4 chassis. The XA Alpha is a subcompact vehicle, with a wheelbase of 98 inches. That's about the same as vehicles like the Suzuki SX4 Crossover, Kia Soul and Nissan Cube.

If the company can build the XA Alpha with some off-road capability, and can still keep the price low, it would be a great refresh to Suzuki's North America lineup.

While it may be "clearly inspired by the Range Rover Evoque", it sure screamed Kia Soul at me.

I agree that an off-roading Suzuki would be a welcome return in the US market.

I sure hope so, but I am guessing it will be a watered down mall cruiser

FYI, this is a crossover-type vehicle, not a Jimny replacement. It is built on the Swift platform with FWD and AWD options. It does not have solid axles, either.
