Taco for expedition living quarters

I will throw this out

Why not an access cab 1st generation Tundra? The seats are better, the cab has more room, the bed is larger for better living quarters, V8 vs V6 with very similar gas mileage, much better payload. Not enough bigger to make much of a difference off road. It seems like a no brainer. However, I understand because if I did not have three kids I would purchased a DC Taco. I do however love, love, love my Tundra. Here is a link to a T100 build to give an idea what you could easily do with an AC Tundra. http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/39774-Project-T100-quot-Baja-Explorer-Ver.-2-quot

I'm an access/xtra cab guy. I've had three Toyota trucks/tacomas. If you don't plan to haul more than 2 people most of the time it is perfect. Make sure you know the differences between the Sport and Off-Road versions of the Tacomas. Also, 2012 will see a refresh of the front of the Tacomas and some interior bells and whistles.

Good luck on the decision and purchase. They are great trucks.

Another vote for Four Wheel Camper. As soon as I can I will get one. Sadly it will be quite a while.
