TBranco's 06 Tacoma build-up

Slowly building my 06 for many more adventures, expeditions, and rock crawling... and getting back to work when it's all said and done (since it's my DD).

Started with a 6" IFS Fabtech lift...then decided to go further since some plans changed with my 82 mini truck.

First mod was a johnny joint shackle flip + a u-bolt flip.
Heres some pics of the travel the johnny joints allowed. It brought my shocks to their limit... still had plenty more travel to go. Time for longer shocks!

The shackle flip could allow so much more travel with longer shocks. This shot shows the shock maxed out.

The shackle flip changed the quality of the ride ten fold, on and off road... big thanks to Taco Chaser for the shackle flip!:beer:

Thanks! It was a custom job... It can easily be a bolt on kit though.

So how well are these holding up?


Edit: If anything works out at TN. You should go to TTORA and throw em up there. They are a little more hardcore over there. TN is geared more towards the daily driver where as TTORA is off road enthusiast.

Therefore they would probably go over even better there.

They're holding up great! They aren't going anywhere and I'm lovin the ride quality.:smiley_drive: I drove it on some 'wash-board' dirt roads the other day (where it originally would rattle the hell out of the truck) and it was as smooth as ever. Once the stock springs are gone, it'll be even more comfortable!
