Tepui Awning and Awning Extension Room

Adam -

Very intersted in this. Can't seem to find any other brands on the market that offer this, and it's awesome! I looked on the site but can't seem to find what I'm looking for - close-ups of how the extension attaches to the awning. I've got an ARB awning and would like to see if I can make it work with the extension. Worst case, I'll have to get the Tepui awning and sell the ARB. Thanks!

Woohoo! Mine arrived yesterday. It looked like the FedEx wasn't pleased about its size and took out some frustrations on it but the carry bag was still in good shape. The extension itself is a very cool piece of kit I can't wait to put to use. Out of sheer curiosity I tried a few different transport location possibilities and it looks like I'll need to move the RTT outboard a few inches so that I can strap it between the RTT and awning on my Gobi. I tried it across the rack in front of the RTT (pictured) and while it would work, I don't think I'm comfortable with the overhang. The only things left to do are put it to good use and affix another bulb channel to the awning so that I can still have my mosquito mesh room installed.

Two things-
(1) There are no instructions. It is fairly self explanatory, just don't force it.
(2) Don't test set it up in your driveway. Do it in the grass and temporarily stake the floor down. I stupidly tried it and it wanted to move around too much when erecting it before zipping it onto the bulb track on the awning (question answered from my misunderstood post from a few years back).

Should still be one available if you want it. $315 with the forum discount. A few posts back I posted the list of information I need from purchasers. PM me or email at atolman@tepuitents.com or call me at 8017108110 with the info and I'll get it going.

I was surprised when I picked mine up at expo last year how big it is.
Strapped down it goes from roof rack over the cab on my double cab Tacoma to the rack on the shell.
It is a great tent.
I'm still not sure if the loose pole snaps into the frame on the rear wall or the ceiling.

Thanks to those of you that have finalized your orders on these. A few have already received them and at least one more is going out today. The rest of you on the list, let me know if you're not going to complete your order (if you haven't already), so I can make them available to others.
.
Thanks!

On the inside hinges, double check the tension on the lock nuts. I had a few that were loose and the nylon wasn't engaged to actually "lock" the nut and after a few open/closes the nuts spun off. Tighten enough to engage the ny-lock but not so much that it's hard to open/collapse. :)

Will do, it did seem a little loose in the joints.

What are the measurements when in the carry case? And what are the floor measurements when the unit is setup?

Never seen one in person so just trying to get an idea if it will suit our needs

Paging Yarjammer! Can you get measurements on yours. I don't have one here to check myself. The case itself is ~6' long.
