Texas overlanding anyone?

I'm in Central Texas, lots of good county road surfing from here - west, but haven't made it out to Big Bend yet, might plan a trip this year in spring break to Guadalup Mountains or Davis Mountains.

I'll second the Texas Overland group as well, lots of great info.

Dates are flexible, guys. mid-late Feb is only requirement of the group. Let us know what works/doesn't work on your end and we can try to get something set so that everyone is involved

Yeah they are pretty much trash... 40k on 37 inches tires and beaten hard on frozen tilled farm fields, plus towing 10k... never been to the shop or dealer for anything other than a water pump recall.

I might be able to have my arm twisted into going back to Big Bend. Running a little low on vacation time, though.

If I can get the time off work I'm in for a trip. February should be slow, just need to get the truck in shape. I would also be leaving from central Texas, just north of Austin.

Agreed on the time span, I spent four days out there a few years ago and could have easily spent another couple days exploring.

I am off Feb 21st through 24th, and March 1st through 4th already. If dates need to be extended or moved some, that would be fine as well.
