Thanks Overland Journal

We are quite honored to support that community. Folks that we really believe in, like Chris Scott and Lois Pryce frequent that forum.

I noticed that over the weekend while surfing through the HUBB. There are some class acts on that forum. When going through Africa in 2004 that was THE place for info. And I mean THE place to the extent that people on the HUBB knew more about activities on the ground than the US embassy in the affected countries! A fantastic resource. Well placed OJ resources IMO.

cheers

Kindof to follow up on Graham's post....the HUBB can usually provide on the ground info from motorcyclists and travelers who are in the area...anywhere in the world...that you need. If not, someone has recently passed through the area.

It's not just for moto travelers!

Great, super, superb resources, including insurance links and other must have info!

Bizarre. What a most bizarre site. But I'm on board. Looks a lot like freaked-out hippies on two wheels, so I guess I'm okay with that. Bizarre. My god what a weird, weird site.

Hmm...I guess the folks I've met through HU have been the epitome of modern day adventurers; many of whom having done at least one round the world trip, and are an absolute wealth of information regarding on the ground and up to date conditions, whether it's visas, carnets, shipping, customs or local roads....

I think it may be easy to call a lot of motorcycle travellers freaky hippies because the mode of travel doesn't lend itself to having an entire wardrobe or on-board showers, and we're always covered with dust; well-used gear being a combination of sweat, bugs and taco sauce.

What you will find is that most real travellers are highly educated (either the formal or informal kind), speak at least two languages, and are some of the most interesting folks to hang around a campfire with...I know I have learned so much myself from their company.

I find that site very useful with a ton of info...
Even though I don't ride anymore I know I can trust what I read there.
Glad to see OJ on board.
