Finished up the kitchen area and all the wiring, I can charge off my honda generator and off the alternator now. My phone camera takes bad pics so I broke out the go pro tonight and got a few decent pics.

Well it's been hot but I've got a few things done, everything under the bed is finally done so I buttoned up the bed platform.. Got the upper cabinets roughed in and the back wall up...and about a mile of carpet....

Finished it up and spent the long 4th weekend in the WV mountains, Went in the Monongahela National forest and didn't come out for 3 days... Different campsite every night, We stated at our favorite state park on the way home to swim.... The van did really well, and it's probably time I get back to work on the bus so there won't be any updates here for awhile.106559742_4177022185673768_5441137252686896248_n.jpg

The wife says I need to finish the van 100 percent even though I'm tired of working on it, so I tore everything out from under the front of the van... I have not done anything on the front axle/springs/steering, my buddy with the 2 post lift had an opening to do the body swap before I got the front done so I'm doing it now... Outside in the dirt.. My van no longer fits in the garage... I also ordered new tires and ended up going with the Cooper STT Pro's.

Off the wall question from a random lurker. When are you heading out for Alaska? I only ask cause I get out of the Army in April of 21 and we are moving back to Alaska. I have an 09 E-350 EB I built out for our move down to CA last year and I am rebuilding for our move back to AK this coming year. It'd be cool to link up and do the AlCan highway section with someone. Gets pretty desolate out there. Great build btw! Keep up the awesome work!

Great work! How much room does the high top get you? There is a conversion van at the junk yard and I am eyeballing the slightly raised top. I love the functionality of the "tall" tops but just dont love the looks or hitting every tree branch

Not exactly sure now since Covid hit, might not make it next year... The way I understand it they have the border closed.. It would be cool to travel that section with another van and would be nice if one of us broke down, We might be able to make it happen.... I'll know a lot more once they have a Vaccine.....

With a finished floor and ceiling, my van measures 65 inches. Not super tall but enough for me to stand up to put my pants on in the morning...LOL it does give you a lot of room for cabinets and storage up high....

Well the front end and springs are completely rebuilt and back in the van. Now my chassis is 100% done... Glad I'm past that point in the van build and I got my tires mounted and made a local car meetup Saturday night... The van was a big hit....

I'm getting real close to getting a state inspection, new windshield, tires and I got the new rocker panels welded in yesterday.. Also started mocking up a front winch bumper, I was hoping to tuck it under but I'm feeling this is a little low, might start trimming the grill to get it up higher...

I read back in this post and I bought the winch last August and I'm finally getting the bumper built...Only a year behind when I planned.. I ended up cutting the grill to get the winch up some, this is kinda what it's going to look like when finished.

Got the bumper mounted up yesterday, I still need to get a stinger bent up but that can wait till I find a set of lights to hang on it first... Maybe a small light bar, I haven't put much thought into it yet...119054303_4501738539868796_4725984298073122111_o.jpg
