In January 2012 The Beast, my 98 Montero (2" lift, 33's, ARB Bull Bar with Warn Winch, Snorkel, and sliders) was totaled when I was hit head-on by someone driving high and drunk. In May of 2012 I found another 98 Montero and slowly began to transform it. Here are some pictures of the journey.
By the time I had the funds to begin working on version 2.0 ARB no longer sold a bumper in the US. So after several emails, phone calls and begging I talked the president of ARB USA into shipping me a Pajero bumper from Australia. The fact that I survied the wreck and sent him some pictures of the ARB on Beast 1.0 might have helped. It took 4 months to get the bumper but it was worth the wait. Beast 1.0 had a retrofited bumper so the look was a little different than 2.0
When I bought version 2 it was smoking and needed valve seals so a buddy helped me with that part of the journey.
I choose to stay with 31 10.5 tires on 2.0 so I would have more torque to pull a trailer (Fleetwood E3) on our mountain adventures.
