Looks great! I think your idea on the bumpstops is a good one. As the rear tire moves up, it gets closer to the rock rail and front of the body seam. A little room for insurance is a good idea.
Doesn't appear to have negatively impacted flexure, so bonus points on that! :victory:
This is really well executed. You've done an awesome job on all the choices!
Hey thanks Scott! I was debating on whether or not the bump stops were necessary, but I think you're right it's a good thing to have the insurance. I can imagine a situation where I'm maybe not anticipating a large dip or coming off a ledge or something and using 100%+ of travel which would pull off the fender flare without them. I agree with you it seems there is plenty of flex for any situation I could/should get into, and anything beyond that probably shouldn't be doing it
The whole tire nearly drops below the body at flex, so that should suffice!
As a side note, I just ran another full tank of gas through the Jeep which included about 100 miles freeway to get to the trail and back, 30 miles of trail riding mostly in 4 low, and 130 miles of city driving, and I got 15.7 mpg. I personally feel like that's pretty fantastic considering I could barely crack 12 mpg in my Land Cruiser on 33s even though that weighed a lot more and was much older with a 4 speed auto. I remain very pleased with the new setup, and I only wish I would have made the jump sooner!
