I was perusing your smugmug galleries the other day, great images. I used to have serious GAS, I spent more time acquiring gear than I did making images. Now I walk around with just a Fuji X-100. I do miss having an assortment of lenses for landscape though so I will probably try to get into a X-1 pro at some point when I have spare $. Have to get some new rubber on the van first though! Here's an imitation of Ansel. :)

Nice shot of Half Dome there, maybe one day I'll get to the Sierras.

Here's an imitation of Ansel.
I don't think he's done us any favours, every B&W photo of HD and various other High Sierra icons will be compared to his.

I looooved b/w classed in college - reminded me of little me helping my Grandpa to develop photos in amber lit bathroom. :) And just the whole magic of images suddenly appear on white paper dunk in some chemical solution - priceless! What I didn't like is to develop the negative strips. Patience is not my virtue…

Yeah, somehow an inkjet printer is not the same.

I reckon there'd be a market for a paper that you print in the printer but have to immerse in chemicals to bring up the image :)

At least the Ilford Gold Fibre Silk smells and looks like an f-type paper and actually has a baryta layer. :) Not the same as the old darkroom days but it still has a really nice look to it.

I doubt that. :( But I'm sure it will be still possible to come across film and enlargers somewhere on ebay just as feather quills and parchment. :D

Interesting tones there Chuck, is that some HDR technique on B&W or a giant reflector :)

Sebas, your second shot had me for a second, is it a fairground ride?
