Corey, nice box. How well has the finish aged thru the years and how much up keep does the finish require.
Thanks.
The finish is still good, and the last time I used it was this past August up at Mount Rainier.
Not really any upkeep to it, just wipe it down, and throw some furniture polish on it once in awhile.
Here is is from August.
But that was the last trip for it, as the older I get, the more difficult it is to heft it in/out of my rig.
I even have to unload it partially to do both.
My solution to a lighter weight chuckbox was the King Charles from Trail Kitchens which I picked up after my August vacation.

I had them modify it by adding a cable like my wood one so their door could also then be used as a table.
With my new setup and a Tembo Tusk fridge slide on top of the Goose Gear cargobox, I can keep the chuckbox in the rig if I do not want to take it out and set it up on a table.
The stove is a little too high since the fridge slide sits up on top of the cargobox, but I am pretty sure I can fit the stove right on top of the door/table of the new chuckbox.
I just finished installing it yesterday, and I ran out of time to experiment to see if it would fit on the chuckboxes table.

I am not sure if the wood chuckbox will fit on the fridge slide or not, I will have to do some measuring.
If it does, it is quite possible I may use it again, as it holds more stuff than the new one I picked up.
The wood ones do have a lot of charm to them, reminds me of my old Boy Scout days
