I'm really enjoying the report and videos.

I've had a number of fixes in Mexico and Baja and always amazed at what can be done.
Thanks for reading and watching.

The turnaround was amazing. I've never had any business in the states drop everything they were doing to help me. Ì always get told the "our regular customers were here first, so you'll have to wait until we catch up" Which sounds reasonable in one sense but when you're 1000 miles into a trip you'd really like someone to understand your predicament.

Those guys at Bastidas did just that, 5 people dropped every project they were working on, grabbed the axle out of the back of the truck, discussed how to fix it and in a day and a half I had it back. I couldn't have been happier!

South to Baja Part 8
Our Return to the States

Look at us! We finally made it to the end of our trip! Look at you! You've finally made it to the end of our video series! This is the last episode of our Baja video series. We sincerely hope that you have enjoyed watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.

After the debacle with the trailer axle, we had run out of pesos ( our debit card would not allow any further withdrawals) so we had to head back north. We made our way up to San Felipe across the border, and on to one of our favorite camping areas outside of Ajo Arizona. We sat in a nice dispersed blm land campsite for a few days and watched the Border Patrol as they watched us from helicopters, trucks, and 4-wheelers.

South to Baja Part 7
Big Trouble Outside Santa Rosalia

Nearly everyone has asked about the scene in our opening credits of the Baja series where I'm removing the axle from the teardrop. Here's the video with the answer!

Have you ever had a vehicle malfunction miles from nowhere? We've had a few over the years, but this one took our cake. We lost a bearing and spindle in the desert! Follow along to see if we managed to escape from the baja desert, or if we're still living where we parked the teardrop in the desert...

Truck Service Bastida is legit. Plus they are in Santa Rosalia, which is one of the best tiny cities in Baja.

Yes they are! We found them just from dumb luck. I did post on r/bajacalifornia, here, facebook and anywhere else I could think that might have people that would know who might be able to help.

By being a little nosy we dumbed onto Bastidas before I could get any helpful replies. Someone did post about Bastidas the next day, but the crew was already fixing the axle by then.
